Micro-Stealth PAF-Style Pickup for Archtop Jazz Guitar
The most innovative pickup for Jazz-guitar in decades, the Micro-Stealth is an ultra-slim— 1/4" (6.5mm or less) thick, Jazz PAF humbucker especially designed for for “old-school” style archtop guitars which have a very small amount of space between the soundboard and the strings (e.g., vintage guitars such as Gibson L5, L7, Kay, Harmony, Silvertone, and “modern” archtops such as the Godin 5th avenue, Loar LH-600, or Eastman El Rey). Engineered for a warm, clean and flattering "Jazz" sound. Uses custom manufactured low-intensity neodymium magnets and real hardwood spacers to achieve a surprisingly sweet attack with three-dimensional overtones.
Rapidly becoming the world-standard magnetic pickup for upright bass. The Krivo is fully adjustable for perfect string balance and mounts easily with included fastener. The incorporation of my proprietary Optimized Microphonics™ technique results in a surprisingly "acoustic" sound. A five-string version is now available!
Only 6mm thick, the Krivo Resophonic pickup is optimized tonally and aesthetically to suit National type resonator guitars. Krivo's proprietary Optimized Microphonics faithfully capture the sound of your particular instrument. The Resophonic Model has a compact and rectangular housing with an attractive nickel finish to match the classic appearance of metal-bodied resonator instruments. Also available in and black, and rosewood (special order USA only). No preamp necessary, just plug in to any guitar or acoustic amp, or via a direct-box straight into a P.A. system. Mounts easily with included finish-safe putty.
The Nuevo single-coil pickup is the Krivo pickup which is closest in sound to the traditional Stimer™ pickup popularized by Django Reinhardt during his late electric period. However, I have optimized magnet position and strength to eliminate the dreaded “hot-b string” problems evinced by the original Stimer-type pickups. Furthermore, the Nuevo has a much higher output than competing models. Available in a petít boúche version which recesses into the fretboard cutaway of oval-hole gypsy jazz guitars (see photos).
The Djangobucker Humbucking Pickup for Gypsy Jazz Guitars
The new 2018 Djangobucker significantly improves on my critically-acclaimed design. It features higher output (6K Ohms) and perfect string to string balance—no longer is it necessary to remove the high “b” and “e” pole pieces to achieve optimum balance. Additionally, individual string volumes are now adjustable with a standard slotted screwdriver, so you never need to worry about forgetting or losing a specialized wrench. Lastly, the 2018 Djangobucker is 30% smaller in size!
The Krivo designed Djangobucker is the ONLY humbucking pickup specifically created for Gypsy Jazz guitars. Fits both “Petit Bouche (oval hole) and “Grand Bouche” (D-hole) style Gypsy Jazz guitars. Only 6.3mm thick (or less)! Will fit virtually any gypsy guitar. Designed for a snappy acoustic Gypsy-Jazz tone. Fully adjustable for perfect string-to-string balance. Mounts with finish-friendly putty or choose the clip-mount option, which is available for no extra charge (note: the clip on option only works for oval-hole guitars, and for the standard shaped pickup). Lastly, for oval-hole gypsy guitars I offer a petít boúche version which recesses into the fretboard cutaway for a "seamless" look (see photos).
Krivo Universal Mini-Humbucker Pickup: sounds great on virtually any stringed instrument
A humbucker based on my critically-acclaimed Nuevo pickup. Warm clear sound with fat midrange and beefy low end. Great for archtop jazz guitars, slide guitar—and more. The most versatile pickup in the Krivo line. A mere 6.35mm thick (about 1/4"), no Preamp needed, and installs in seconds.
