Pete Biltoft retired from pickup-making last year, but in his generosity he insured his amazing designs would be available for future generations. I had the good fortune to connect with Pete when Krivo Pickups relocated to Port Townsend Washington and he kindly put me in touch with his protégé Vince Gorman. Vince inherited all of Pete's designs and pickup making gear and was trained by Pete himself to continue his legacy. Now Vince and Jason Krivo Flores are combining forces to put these legendary pickups back on the market. We are starting with Pete's incredible "Charlie Christian" Style single coil pickups. Pete Biltoft was the brilliant mind behind 'Vintage Vibe Guitars'. For almost two decades, he created a strong reputation in the custom guitar pickup world. I met Pete through water sports in Sarasota, FL. We used to wingfoil together quite often. Pete was approaching retirement age and wanted his business to carry on. He taught me everything I know about making custom guitar pickups and with his wealth of knowledge, I'm able to dial-in the very specific looks and sounds that experienced players are looking for. Since then, Pete has continued to mentor me as I establish my own version of his legacy business. I hope you love the pickups and get many enjoyable years of playing out of them!
